Privacy & Data

Nosentrik Health Blog is built to know as little about its readers as possible. Every page is generated in advance and delivered as a ready-made file. There are no user accounts, no comment boxes, no newsletter list, no advertising and no analytics or tracking scripts of any kind. This page sets out the small amount of data that is still involved and what you can do about it.

Last updated: October 2026.

Who is responsible

The site is run by a small independent team writing under pen names. For any question about your personal data, email mail@nosentrik.com. Messages to that address are read by the people who maintain the library.

Data we do not gather

  • No analytics: we do not count visitors, measure scrolling or build reading profiles.
  • No advertising networks, retargeting pixels or affiliate trackers.
  • No social media widgets that load content from other platforms while you read.
  • No forms that store anything on our side. The contact form only prepares an email in your own mail program.

Your cookie choice

When you first arrive, a small notice asks whether you accept or decline optional storage. Your answer is saved in your browser's local storage so that the notice does not reappear on every page. That single entry stays on your device, is never sent to us and is not used to recognise you. Clearing this website's stored data in your browser removes it whenever you wish. More detail is on A Word on Cookies.

Hosting and server logs

Like any website, Nosentrik is delivered by a hosting provider. When your browser requests a page, the provider's servers automatically record technical details such as your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested and your browser type. These records are used to deliver the site, keep it secure and investigate faults or abuse. They are kept for a limited period under the provider's own retention rules and are not combined with any other information. We do not use them to analyse readers. We rely on legitimate interest as the legal basis here, since a website cannot be delivered or protected without these records.

When you email us

If you write to us, we receive your email address, the content of your message and anything else you choose to include. We use it only to reply and to correct or improve our entries. We do not add you to any mailing list and we do not share your message with third parties. Correspondence is deleted once it is no longer needed, usually after the conversation has ended. Please avoid sending detailed personal health information; we are not able to give individual advice, and a shorter message protects your privacy.

Your rights under the GDPR

Where the GDPR or a similar data protection law covers you, these rights are yours:

  • learn if the desk holds anything about you and request a copy of it
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have your data erased
  • limit our use of your data, or object to that use
  • take your data with you in a machine-readable form, where that right applies
  • lodge a complaint with a data protection regulator in your home country or where you work

To use any of these rights, email mail@nosentrik.com. We will answer within the time the law allows, normally one month.

Links within the library

Our entries link mainly to other pages on this site. If an article mentions an outside website and you choose to visit it, that site's own privacy policy applies from that point on.

Changes to this page

If the way the site works changes, this page will be updated and the date above will move with it. Related reading: Ground Rules for Readers and Health Content Limits.
